Well, I won’t rant about politics here, I just want to follow-up on these damned voting machines.
Apparently, a lot of people say it is actually slower than paper ballots. In some districts there was up to an hour of waiting before voting… Given the citizen’s usual laziness with the whole voting process, it’s actually quite remarkable that they really waited that long.
Since no one really wanted to debate on the actual security and level of trust regarding this electronic vote, I was slightly depressed about the whole thing. I even planned on trying something during the election to show how unreliable they were. Looks like I won’t even have to do that. Their main and only advantage over paper ballot (their speed) has actually been called into question.
